About the Presenter:

Jim Bisenius has thirteen years of experience as a child and adolescent

therapist specializing in teaching extremely targeted youth how to handle

bullying situations. While practicing therapy in central Ohio Jim’s

individual outpatient successes and contagious passion quickly gained

him the attention of the area schools. Numerous speaking requests later,

Jim chose to resign from his therapy supervisor position in order to share

his proven techniques with as many children as possible. He converted

his therapy methods into assembly form, and has trained over 300

thousand elementary and middle school students all over Ohio, Kentucky,

Michigan, and Pennsylvania with his bully-proofing techniques.

Mr. Bisenius uses assemblies and parent follow up to reproduce what he

has successfully done one-on-one with individual clients for years.

In addition to over 300 school presentations, Jim has trained numerous

professionals at The Ohio Department of Health (ODH),

The Ohio Department of Mental Health (ODMH), Numerous Department

of Job and Family Services Trainings, The Safe and Drug Free Schools

Program, and The Central Ohio Special Education Regional Resource

Center (COSERRC). His bullying prevention program has been received

with overwhelming enthusiasm everywhere it has been presented.

Jim earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Miami University and his Master’s Degree from The Ohio State University. He was voted Child Advocate of the Year by the Knox County community, and then later received a Violence Prevention Award from the Licking County Mental Health Association for his Bully-Proofing Youth program.
